About the event

"Invasiveness as a response to ecological escape, landscape change and disturbance: Rapid evolution in human transformed landscapes"

Welcome to an open keynote session with Professor Andrew Mathews!

This event will kick off the 2026 BIOrdinary Conference titled, The Ordinary Anthropocene: Biodiversity in the other 70%. In broad strokes, this end-of-project conference explores how humans might live alongside—and responsibly dwell with—the biodiversity shaped by deep histories of human mobility, habitation, agriculture, and industrial activity. In doing so, we seek to seriously consider alternative ways of relating to, and engaging with, emergent ecologies and future natives.

The seminar takes place at Stockholm Centre for Organizational Research (SCORE), located at Frescativägen 14A on Campus Frescati, close to the subway station Universitetet. The easiest way to reach Stockholm University is by subway (red line) to Universitetet. You can also take bus 50 from Odenplan and get off at Universitetet.
